New Workshop: Build a Brilliant Planner
Do you dream of a planner that works for you? This two-part workshop shows you the way.
Do you dream of having a planner system that actually works for you? Have you tried different off-the-shelf planners and abandoned each one because you never use it?
This two-part workshop will help you debug your daily planner and find a system that's both effective and fun to use.
In our first one-hour session, we'll discuss:
- Why you think you want to use a planner... and your actual motivations.
- The many factors that might influence your planner preferences, and which ones really matter to you.
- The pros and cons of off-the-shelf planners vs. DIY.
- The three layers of the daily planner:
- The technology of the planner itself,
- The habit inertia that supports or blocks planner usage, and
- The karmic patterning that can undermine even the best technology and habits.
- How to run a one-week planner experiment.
One week later, in the second one-hour session, we'll explore:
- What you learned in your one-week planner experiment.
- Whether to run another mini-experiment or commit to a planner.
- How to work with the three layers (technology, habit, and karma) in the coming weeks and months.
